We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and experienced Bilingual (English/Spanish) Personal Injury Associate Attorney for a permanent part-time role. Schedule options are 5-6 hours per day either M-F or M-Th totaling 25 hours per week, but the schedule must include mornings. This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility to work both remotely and in the office. The role demands a strong understanding of legal documents, court hearings, depositions, and drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for court proceedings. Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, ensuring a high level of client service.
2. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
3. Attend court hearings and depositions, representing clients effectively and professionally.
4. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members in a professional and courteous manner.
5. Conduct case evaluations to determine the merits of a case.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, where appropriate.
7. Stay updated on current laws and regulations related to personal injury law.
8. Provide legal advice to clients, explaining complex legal terms and information clearly and concisely.
9. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active license to practice law in the state of Florida
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience
4. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
5. Experience in attending court hearings and depositions.
6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
7. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and tasks.
8. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Bilingual language skills are required. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients.
