We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team. This position is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to showcase their skills and contribute to our team's success. The successful candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, continuing education, employee relations, and 401K management. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Human Resources Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Assisting in the administration of employee benefit programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits.
2. Facilitating continuing education programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
3. Managing employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
4. Overseeing 401K plan administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
5. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
6. Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
7. Maintaining employee files and HR records in a confidential and organized manner.
8. Providing support for HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Assistant position possesses the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits, continuing education programs, employee relations, and 401K administration.
3. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
6. Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
7. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
8. HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
