Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial dental assessments and consult with dentists on patient care.
- Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) according to the dentist's instructions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Assist dentists with select procedures.
- Maintain patient dental records and document all procedures performed.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and tools to ensure the highest level of dental care is provided.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist in a healthcare setting is required.
- Proficient understanding of dental procedures and protocols.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of manual dexterity.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Comfortable using dental technology and software.
- Must be patient-focused and committed to providing high-quality dental care.
- Current CPR certification is a plus.
- Must be available to work part-time hours, including some evenings and weekends.
