Job Details
The Partner Sales Manager will implement company sales strategy within the region while developing their assigned territory. This person will work machine tool dealers to get sales. The goal is to grow revenue and maximize profits by selling company solutions to existing customers and acquiring new business. This position will operate on a sales team and be a cooperative team player to ensure team success.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
o Analyze the customer's needs and translate their objectives into solutions that align with Company's offerings and competencies.
o Create customized presentations of the proposed solutions to aid in consultation and facilitate the sale.
o Demonstrated knowledge and persistence to effectively communicate the value of Company's offerings to potential customers.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and implement effective partner sales strategies; Resolve issues to achieve Company's sales objectives.
- Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with Machine Tool Dealers (MTDs) and be available and responsive to their inquiries.
- Manage to meet/exceed monthly, trimester, and annual sales targets to increase profitable sales and build long-term dealer relationships.
- Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Meet regularly with new partner prospects and existing partners, in sales territory to understand their evolving business needs and position Company's offering to meet surfaced needs.
- Proactively identify and report industrial changes and competitive pressures to develop and modify sales strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Build trust and drive growth with key Machine Tool Dealers (MTDs), focusing on the FPx business.
- Ability to enhance partner knowledge and engagement, leading to increased sales and a stronger market position for Company.
- Maintain a robust network of relations, ensuring alignment with Company's strategic goals and facilitating effective collaboration across the sales funnel.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool and robotics manufacturers’ business, partners, offerings, and capabilities.
- Work effectively with internal stakeholders (Business Units, Marketing, and Product Management) to promote sales for new and existing customers to maximize Company's visibility.
- Managing the sales funnel, running sales cases, training the distribution network, participating in dealer events, and reporting. Scope of this position includes regular visits to the sales offices and headquarters, as well as day-to-day collaboration with RSM’s to drive sales.
- Bring innovative approaches to partner engagement and sales strategies. This includes developing new training modules for the FPx offering and identifying creative ways to enhance partner relationships, communication, and performance.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Hungry for business, growth, and success personally and for company.
- Must develop a strong understanding of company's offerings, particularly the FPx business line.
- Possess proven experience in sales or partner management and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills for relationship building.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of the processes and regulations in metal-cutting machine shops.
- Strong interest and ability to quickly grasp the functionality and logic of technical matters.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a demanding machine tool, solution, or system sales business.
- Technical know-how: Sales experience in the metal cutting industry, and processes or technology related to the metal industry, machine tool building, and/or robotics industry.
- Specific knowledge of scheduling, automation, tool management, and program management in a manufacturing environment.
- A technical degree from an accredited university is preferred.
- Positive and business-oriented “can do” attitude. Willingness to set challenging targets and achieve them.
- Driven by providing information, technology and value to discussions with dealers and their customers. Engaging with our dealer network.
- Must have a consultative / solution sales approach, with the ability to:
o Analyze the customer's needs and translate their objectives into solutions that align with Company's offerings and competencies.
o Create customized presentations of the proposed solutions to aid in consultation and facilitate the sale.
o Demonstrated knowledge and persistence to effectively communicate the value of Company's offerings to potential customers.
- Persuasive seller that drives negotiations and closes orders.
- Knowledgeable about automation business for machine tools and robotics applications.
- Must have solid analytical skills and an ability to pick up on trends and patterns that can lead to business.
- Willingness to learn new sales techniques and develop own capabilities and performance.
- Builder of positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
- Successfully thrive under high-pressure situations while maintaining flexibility, precision, and thoroughness.
- Willing and able to travel, primarily domestic, but could include international travel; approximately 50% of the time will be travel-related to potential customers.
