Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive appropriate and timely care.
- Facilitate communication between our legal team, healthcare providers, and patients, including scheduling appointments, conveying legal advice, and explaining medical procedures.
- Use your excellent phone handling skills to manage inbound and outbound calls, ensuring clear, empathetic, and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, complying with all legal and ethical confidentiality guidelines.
- Collaborate with our legal team to understand the specifics of each case, enabling you to provide more personalized care coordination.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents and reports related to patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in healthcare and legal fields.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient care coordination role or similar capacity, preferably within the legal or healthcare industry.
- Exceptional phone handling skills, with a proven track record of managing high-volume inbound and outbound calls.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Familiarity with legal principles and practices related to healthcare is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people, including patients, healthcare providers, and legal professionals.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and empathy, with a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems for record-keeping and communication.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, legal studies, or a related field is preferred.
