Job Details
- Manage the daily operations of Accounts Receivable (A/R), including primary, secondary, and tertiary collections.
- Lead staff in Managed Care training and compliance with billing policies and collection guidelines.
- Oversee payer denials through a structured workflow, ensuring claims are processed within deadlines.
- Maintain relationships with payers, proactively addressing and preventing issues.
- Facilitate process improvements to enhance accuracy, productivity, and cycle time.
Requirements:
- High school diploma with 7+ years in healthcare patient accounting or Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in patient financial services with direct vendor management and collections.
- Expertise in UB-04 and HCFA 1500 billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, HIPAA compliance, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and ability to type 40+ WPM.
- Prior experience with Meditech software and medical terminology preferred.
