Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Project Management: Lead and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgets.
2. Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project, providing guidance and support as needed.
3. Quality Control: Ensure that all construction activities meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
4. Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal project performance and cost-effectiveness.
5. Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, architects, and government agencies, to ensure smooth project execution.
6. Problem-solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues, such as design conflicts, unforeseen challenges, and material shortages, in a timely and efficient manner.
7. Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations and protocols, including those set by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
8. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, change orders, and other relevant records.
9. Cost Control: Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement effective cost control measures to maximize project profitability.
10. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest construction techniques, technologies, and industry best practices, and actively seek opportunities for professional development and improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, with a strong focus on milling, paving, road, highway, and drainage projects.
2. Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and blueprints. Familiarity with DOT regulations and requirements is highly desirable.
3. Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of successfully leading and managing construction projects, with the ability to effectively motivate and supervise teams.
4. Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the aptitude to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex construction concepts in a clear and concise manner.
6. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
8. Safety Consciousness: Thorough knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
9. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as required by project needs.
10. Valid Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
