Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong background in managing large-scale paving projects, a deep understanding of traffic management, and a proven track record of successfully working on government projects.

Responsibilities:

As a Paving Superintendent, you will:

1. Oversee all aspects of the paving projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Develop and implement project schedules, manage daily operations, and coordinate work with other team members and contractors.
3. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to traffic management and erosion and sediment control.
4. Lead the team in implementing best practices for erosion and sediment control, ensuring the safety and sustainability of our projects.
5. Liaise with government officials and stakeholders, presenting project updates and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met.
7. Manage traffic during construction phases, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining safety for all road users.
8. Resolve any project-related issues or delays, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, managing large-scale paving projects.
2. A Traffic Manager Certification or equivalent.
3. Proven experience working on government projects, with a thorough understanding of related regulations and requirements.
4. Extensive knowledge of erosion and sediment control practices, with relevant certification or training.
5. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and teams.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, contractors, government officials, and stakeholders.
7. The ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
8. A commitment to safety, sustainability, and the highest professional standards.
