Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute end-to-end biweekly and monthly payroll processes for hourly and salaried employees.
Maintain accurate employee records including timekeeping, wage adjustments, benefits, and tax withholdings.
Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies in time and attendance systems.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FLSA, tax laws, etc.).
Coordinate with HR and accounting teams on payroll changes, terminations, bonuses, and retroactive pay.
Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll reports for management.
Respond to employee inquiries related to pay, taxes, deductions, and timekeeping.
Support year-end processes including W-2 and other tax documentation.
Continuously identify and implement process improvements for payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing or union environment.
In-depth knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paycom) and timekeeping tools.
Strong understanding of wage and hour laws and payroll tax regulations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred.
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation is a plus.
