Job Details

This is a temp-to-perm position, where you will have the chance to showcase your skills in payroll management! You will be responsible for managing Bi-weekly & semi-monthly payroll for our employees, ensuring that all payments are accurate, on time, and compliant with state, federal, and union rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing the complete payroll process for all employees on a semi-monthly and weekly basis.
2. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
3. Managing and ensuring compliance with all payroll tax obligations across multiple states.
4. Overseeing the administration of 401K contributions, garnishments, and other deductions.
5. Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
6. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
7. Facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
8. Handling payroll-related questions and resolving any payroll issues or discrepancies.
9. Collaborating with the HR department to ensure correct employee data.
10. Managing the month-end processes related to payroll and ensuring accurate general ledger postings.
11. Processing timecards and timesheets accurately and timely.
12. Ensuring compliance with FMLA and other relevant labor laws.
