We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Payroll Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. Responsibilities

As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Leading and managing the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
2. Ensuring compliance with current government regulations.
3. Establishing and implementing policies on matters such as payroll advancements to employees and payroll deductions.
4. Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
5. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
6. Preparing and delivering accurate monthly payroll reports to the finance department.
7. Managing the monthly reconciliation of payroll-related expenses.
8. Overseeing the administration of the 401K plan and other benefits.
9. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of sales tax and other financial obligations.
10. Managing the accruals and entries related to payroll.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in UKG, Ultipro, and other payroll systems.
3. Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
4. Strong knowledge of garnishments, benefits and other payroll deductions.
5. Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
6. Strong knowledge of financials, accruals, and monthly reconciliation of payroll-related expenses.
7. Experience with 401K plan administration.
8. Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system.
9. Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance.
10. Must be a problem solver and a critical thinker with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
