We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Permanent Payroll Reporting Specialist to join our team in the Construction industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who have a passion for numbers, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the complexities of payroll processes and reporting within the construction industry. This role will require you to work closely with various departments, including HR, Finance, and Operations, to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll reporting.
Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1. Processing and managing payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
2. Analyzing and auditing payroll data to ensure accuracy, identifying discrepancies and resolving any issues promptly.
3. Creating and maintaining detailed payroll reports, providing insights and recommendations to management based on your findings.
4. Collaborating with HR and Finance departments to streamline payroll processes, improve efficiency, and ensure data integrity.
5. Handling all payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear, accurate, and timely responses.
6. Staying up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant at all times.
7. Participating in audits and assisting with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
8. Providing training and guidance to other team members on payroll processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing and reporting, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Proven expertise in analyzing and auditing payroll data, with strong attention to detail.
3. Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
4. Proficiency in using payroll software and other related systems.
5. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively handle payroll inquiries and communicate complex information clearly.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
9. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
