Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees across multiple states
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate and timely data entry
  • Interpret and apply union contracts related to payroll deductions and benefits
  • Coordinate with HR and accounting to resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
  • Prepare payroll-related reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with union payroll processing and prevailing wage requirements
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Viewpoint, or similar platforms)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus
