Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and review payroll reports for accuracy and make necessary adjustments or corrections as needed including wage changes, usage of sick or vacation time, status changes, hiring and termination
Research and resolve challenging problems or questions presented by field employees
Compile payroll data for necessary reporting and filing
Cut weekly checks for designated entity regions
Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns (incl Forms W-2)
Process and track unemployment claims
Pay state and federal tax payments (weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly),
Manage and pay wage garnishments (weekly)
Review onboarding paperwork for all new hires, rehires and transfers; ensure compliance with USCIS/E-Verify guidelines
Reconcile benefits (monthly)
Assist in preparation for audits
Complete miscellaneous correspondence, employment verifications, employment letters, etc


Job Qualifications:
Previous knowledge of payroll principles, practice, and regulations
Exceptional multitasker
Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Diligent work ethic
Discrete in handling sensitive information
