What You'll Be Doing:
What You Need:
3+ years of hands-on, in-house payroll processing experience — this means actually calculating and cutting checks, not just running reports through ADP, Paychex, or a similar outsourced provider
Solid working knowledge of payroll fundamentals (940s, 941s, overtime calculations)
Experience with time card processing, both manual and electronic
- Process full-cycle weekly payroll in-house — calculating hours, deductions, overtime, and adjustments directly
- Cut checks and manage in-house payroll filings, including 940s and 941s
- Oversee job costing and cost code analysis, ensuring labor costs are accurately allocated to the correct job/cost code
- Maintain and manage cost codes within the time and attendance system
- Conduct regular payroll reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and union regulations.
- Manage workers' compensation and garnishments.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual payroll and job costing reports
- Collaborate directly with the Controller on reporting and accuracy
