Job Details
JOB DUTIES:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for exempt/non-exempt U.S. employees using ADP
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll including regular pay, overtime, shift differentials, taxes, 401(k), garnishments, and deductions
- Audit and approve timesheets; resolve missed punches and related issues
- Maintain accurate benefits data in HRIS; verify eligibility and process deductions
- Assist with open enrollment and respond to 401(k) questions and adjustments
- Provide payroll and benefits reporting for internal allocation/billing
- Monitor and apply updates to wage laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance standards
- Optimize payroll systems and identify process improvements
- Conduct new hire orientation and manage payroll-related onboarding/offboarding tasks
- Handle off-cycle checks, direct deposits, and vacation accruals
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of payroll processing experience within a law firm
- Solid understanding of federal, state (CA), and local payroll/tax laws
- Proficient in ADP and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- FPC or CPP certification preferred
- High attention to confidentiality, organization, and deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
