Job Details
A fast-growing global technology company is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Payroll Specialist to join its expanding accounting team. This role plays a critical part in managing payroll operations and supporting compensation processes for a distributed workforce across North America and EMEA. You’ll work in a collaborative and dynamic environment that values accuracy, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly and bi-weekly payroll for a 400+ person team across multiple regions.
Deliver responsive and empathetic support for payroll-related inquiries, serving as a trusted resource for employees.
Maintain compliance with local, state, federal, and international payroll regulations.
Perform monthly reconciliations of payroll-related accounts and prepare journal entries as needed.
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve payroll systems, tools, and policies.
Analyze payroll data and support reporting on key compensation and workforce metrics.
Participate in audits and contribute to process documentation and improvement initiatives.
Support other accounting and finance projects as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 2–5 years in payroll or accounting.
Experience with U.S. multi-state and international payroll (EMEA preferred).
Strong understanding of payroll systems, compliance, and reporting best practices.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Familiarity with payroll and HR systems such as Paylocity, HiBOB, or NetSuite preferred.
Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
Candidates must be within commuting distance of Denver or Colorado Springs; in-office presence required 1–2 days/month.
