We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional healthcare services to pediatric patients in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art medical facility. Our Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating our patients. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner will ensure the highest quality of care is provided and that patient satisfaction is consistently achieved. This is a permanent position, requiring a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive primary care services to pediatric patients in a clinic setting.
2. Conduct thorough physical examinations, interpret medical histories, and analyze patient health data.
3. Diagnose and treat common acute injuries and illnesses.
4. Prescribe and manage medications and other therapies as per patient needs.
5. Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families on disease prevention and health promotion.
6. Develop and implement patient management plans, recording patient progress notes, and providing continuity of care.
7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure the highest quality of care is provided.
8. Respond to emergencies and provide urgent care as needed.
9. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
10. Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous learning activities.
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
2. Current and unrestricted DEA license.
3. Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) from a recognized board.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, with proven ambulatory and urgent care experience.
5. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and software.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and staff.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
8. Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for pediatric healthcare.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
10. Current CPR/BLS certification.
11. Up-to-date immunizations and willingness to undergo a background check.
