Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Screening and Oral Health Assessment: Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including oral history reviews and screenings.
  • X-Rays and Dental Impressions: Take and analyze X-rays, and create dental impressions for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Removal of Hard and Soft Deposits: Perform professional cleaning by removing calculus and plaque from all tooth surfaces.
  • Application of Preventive Treatments: Administer sealants and fluoride treatments to protect teeth and promote oral health.
  • Oral Hygiene Education: Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing, flossing techniques, and dietary habits to maintain optimal oral health.
  • Nutritional Counseling: Provide guidance on nutrition and its role in supporting oral and overall health.
  • Dental Impressions for Study Models: Create accurate impressions of patients' teeth for study casts, assisting dentists in treatment evaluation.
  • Detailed Documentation: Maintain precise and thorough records of patient care and treatment plans.
  • Sterilization of Instruments: Ensure all dental instruments are properly sterilized and meet hygiene standards.
  • Supply Management: Monitor and manage inventory to ensure the availability of necessary dental supplies.

Qualifications:
  • Valid State License as a Dental Hygienist in Texas
  • Patient and Friendly Demeanor
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
  • In-Depth Knowledge Health And Safety Regulation– HIPAA Compliance
  • Experience with EHR Programs – Denticon Preferred
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
