Perfusionist

What is the schedule?

  • Schedule and assigned times change each day and are based on the next day’s schedule.
  • Most of our work is done between 6:30am and 6:00pm.
  • One person is on call each day and is responsible for the 24 hr period.

What open hearts cases do we conduct?

  • Cabg
  • Valve
  • Aortic work
  • Tumors/Myxomas
  • IABP
  • VAD
  • ECMO support.
  • Angiovac
  • Autotransfusion cases.

How many surgeries are conducted?

  • We perform between 20-25 open heart cases per week
  • 85-95 open heart cases per month.

How many OR suites are there?

  • 3 open heart rooms.

Since we have experienced perfusionist on staff, we are open to hiring a new graduate!
