Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Permit Coordinator/Manager to join our team in the Construction industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional who has a deep understanding of the construction permit process, especially in the residential and luxury sectors. With a minimum of 5+ years of experience, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing the entire permit process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding experience, as it plays a pivotal role in the successful completion of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the permit process, including application, submission, tracking, and obtaining permits in a timely manner.
2. Liaise effectively with city officials, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all permits are obtained as required.
3. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards related to construction permits.
4. Coordinate with project teams to gather necessary documentation and information for permit applications.
5. Conduct regular follow-ups with the appropriate authorities to expedite permit approval processes.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all permit activities and statuses.
7. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure permit requirements are incorporated into project timelines.
8. Provide expert advice and guidance on all matters related to construction permits.
9. Identify potential permit-related issues and develop effective solutions.
10. Stay abreast of changes in permit regulations and procedures and communicate these changes to relevant team members.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Permit Coordinator/Manager in the Construction industry, specifically in residential and luxury sectors.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of construction permit processes and building codes.
4. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in using project management software and other relevant computer applications.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
8. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in all work.
9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
10. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
