The role involves handling a variety of personal injury claims, including but not limited to auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, premises liability, and other related cases. Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in personal injury cases.
- Provide legal advice to clients and represent them in negotiations with insurance companies.
- Conduct research, gather evidence, interview clients and witnesses, and handle other details in preparation for trials.
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements.
- Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits.
- Handle a high volume of personal injury cases from the initial client meeting through negotiation or trial if necessary.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Maintain client relationships and communicate regularly to keep them informed of the progress of the case.
- Work collaboratively with support staff and other attorneys.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Attorney.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
- Experience with injury claims, auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, and premises liability cases.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful settlements.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines, with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in legal research and writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and other attorneys.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
