Responsibilities:
As a Personal Injury Attorney, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of primarily premises liability cases, including slip and fall accidents, negligent security, and construction accidents.
2. Conduct thorough case investigations to determine the validity of a claim, identify liable parties, and estimate damages.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate settlement agreements to ensure the most favorable outcome for clients.
4. Represent clients in court, presenting compelling arguments and evidence to support their claims.
5. Collaborate with a team of paralegals and legal assistants to prepare for trials, depositions, and mediations.
6. Stay updated on current laws and regulations related to personal injury and premises liability.
7. Provide compassionate and effective legal counsel to clients, helping them navigate through the complexities of their case.
Qualifications:
The candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with at least 5 years of experience in personal injury law, with a specific focus on premises liability cases.
3. Proven track record of successfully negotiating and litigating personal injury cases.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and empathy when dealing with clients who have suffered personal injuries.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to resolve complex legal issues.
6. Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
