What You'll Do:
Qualifications:
- Manage all aspects of a case from inception to conclusion, including drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlement discussions, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in personal injury cases.
- Conduct legal research and gather evidence, ensuring a solid defense strategy.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
- Confer with colleagues to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Act as an advocate for clients in legal proceedings, representing them in trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations before courts, judges, and other authorities.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury defense
- Proven track record of successfully litigating and settling personal injury cases.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to interpret complex legal information.
- Proficient in legal research software and case management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to interface at all levels of the organization and with external clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
