Personal Injury Litigation Attorney - Jones Act

We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our dynamic legal team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for handling complex litigation cases and representing plaintiffs in legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on Jones Act cases.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and attending court hearings and trials
• Represent plaintiffs in MVA, premises and other PI causes
• Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients
• Manage a caseload and ensure all deadlines are met
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure the best possible outcome for clients

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on Personal Injury a plus
• Admitted to practice law in the state where the position is located
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines
• Experience in maritime law is a plus
