Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, you will be expected to:

1. Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials, including assembling trial notebooks and exhibits.
2. Conduct legal research and fact-finding investigations related to personal injury cases.
3. Manage the calendaring of all case-related deadlines and appointments.
4. Prepare and file legal documents electronically (efile).
5. Assist in the preparation of depositions, including scheduling, preparing deposition summaries, and managing deposition transcripts.
6. Liaise with medical professionals to obtain and organize medical records pertinent to each case.
7. Provide support in all aspects of case management, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of case strategy.
9. Handle client communication and maintain a high standard of client service.
10. Provide assistance in other areas of the firm's practice, including criminal defense.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal position, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 7 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in personal injury litigation.
2. A Bachelor's degree is required. A paralegal certificate is a plus.
3. Proven experience with calendaring, preparing for hearings, and assembling trial notebooks.
4. Familiarity with efile systems and procedures.
5. Experience in taking and defending depositions.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to understand and organize medical records.
7. Experience in criminal defense is a plus.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
10. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
11. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
