Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for:

1. Conducting extensive legal research and gathering relevant information for case preparation.
2. Preparing and drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
3. Managing the docketing system, ensuring all deadlines are met and court dates are calendared.
4. Assisting in the preparation of hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations.
5. Compiling trial notebooks and organizing exhibits.
6. Coordinating the collection, review, and production of discovery documents.
7. Liaising with medical providers to gather and analyze medical records pertinent to personal injury cases.
8. Assisting attorneys with trial preparation including witness preparation and coordination.
9. E-filing court documents and managing correspondence with opposing counsel and court officials.
10. Providing comprehensive administrative support to the legal team, including managing client communications and case files.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years of experience specifically in personal injury litigation.
3. Proficiency in legal research, docketing, law and motion practice, pleadings, and calendaring.
4. Extensive experience in preparing for hearings, depositions, and trials.
5. A strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to analyze medical records.
6. Experience with e-filing systems.
7. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. The ability to work well in a team and independently.
10. A paralegal certificate is a plus.
11. Experience in Criminal Defense is desirable but not essential.
