Job Details
Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Personal Injury/Maritime Attorney. This is a permanent position that requires a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the legal industry, specifically in the areas of personal injury and maritime law. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of representing plaintiffs and a deep understanding of maritime law. Responsibilities:
1. Represent plaintiffs in personal injury and maritime cases, providing expert legal advice and guidance throughout the process.
2. Conduct thorough case research, develop case strategies, and present arguments in court.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
4. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively manage cases and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal practices, and apply this knowledge to cases.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and ensuring their needs are met.
7. Participate in business development activities, such as networking events and seminars, to attract new clients and enhance the firm's reputation in the legal community.
Qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a Personal Injury/Maritime Attorney.
3. Active member of the state bar in good standing.
4. Proven track record of successfully representing plaintiffs in personal injury and maritime cases.
5. Excellent legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
7. Proficient in using legal software and technology to manage cases and conduct research.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
9. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Experience in business development activities, such as networking and client outreach, is a plus.
