We are currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is an opportunity to work with a group of committed professionals dedicated to providing the highest level of legal service to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties related to personal injury cases, from the initial intake through settlement or trial. This role requires a deep understanding of the legal research process, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to work independently while maintaining a strong team orientation.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting detailed client interviews and taking statements.
2. Managing case files, including organizing and maintaining all legal documents.
3. Assisting attorneys in the preparation for trials, depositions, mediations, and meetings.
4. Conducting comprehensive legal research to support case preparation.
5. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
6. Coordinating the discovery process, including drafting requests and responses, scheduling depositions, and liaising with clients and experts.
7. Assisting with trial preparation, including evidence organization, trial exhibits, and witness preparation.
8. Maintaining a calendar of all important deadlines and ensuring all are met.
9. Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, judicial administrative staff, and other involved parties.
10. Assisting with settlement negotiations and drafting settlement agreements.

Job Details

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal.
2. Strong knowledge of legal research tools and databases.
3. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
4. Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Strong attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in legal documents.
7. Proficiency in using legal software for document management, case tracking, and communication.
8. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. A proactive approach, with an ability to anticipate needs and act accordingly.
10. Strong knowledge of personal injury law and court procedures.
11. Paralegal certification or equivalent educational background in the legal field.
