We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, with extensive experience in litigation support, document review, and legal research. This role will require a high level of professionalism, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to our attorneys, helping them prepare for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.
2. Manage the discovery process, including drafting requests and responses, coordinating depositions, and reviewing and organizing documents.
3. Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and ensure all relevant case law, statutes, and regulations are considered.
4. Review and analyze medical records, depositions, and other case materials.
5. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs.
6. Liaise with clients, witnesses, medical providers, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
7. Maintain case files and manage case timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
8. Assist with settlement negotiations and mediation presentations.
9. Stay up-to-date with changes in personal injury law and court procedures.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a personal injury paralegal.
2. Strong knowledge of litigation support, document review, and legal research.
3. Proficiency in using legal research platforms and software.
4. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
9. Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved institution is preferred.
10. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to review and understand medical records is
