Job Details
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of personal insurance clients. This role ensures client satisfaction by providing exceptional service, maintaining accurate policy records, and supporting the agency’s retention and growth objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong client relationships by serving as the primary point of contact for personal insurance accounts.
Review, process, and manage renewals, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and other policy changes.
Provide timely responses to client inquiries, including coverage questions, billing issues, and claims support.
Conduct coverage reviews to identify gaps, make recommendations, and upsell/cross-sell additional lines of coverage when appropriate.
Prepare accurate quotes and proposals; market accounts to carriers as needed.
Collaborate with producers and other team members to achieve client retention and growth goals.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in the agency management system.
Stay current on industry trends, carrier guidelines, and state regulations.
Ensure all actions are compliant with agency standards, carrier requirements, and applicable laws.
Qualifications
Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
2+ years of experience in personal lines insurance or account management preferred.
Strong knowledge of personal insurance products (auto, homeowners, renters, umbrella, etc.).
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360, Hawksoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
