We are hiring a full-time Physical Therapist to join an outpatient musculoskeletal rehabilitation practice in Brighton Beach, NY.
This role is ideal for a Physical Therapist, Outpatient PT, Orthopedic Physical Therapist, Staff Physical Therapist, or DPT who enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, orthopedic, spine, joint, neck, back, and limb conditions.
The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, provide hands-on therapy, guide therapeutic exercise, document care, and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support patient recovery.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients and interpret assessments, evaluations, and test results
Develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
Provide quality outpatient physical therapy care for musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions
Administer therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, functional training, and rehabilitation treatments
Assist patients with mobility, ambulation, daily-living activities, and use of assistive devices
Use modalities such as traction, electrical stimulation, moist heat, ice, ultrasound, and other treatments as appropriate
Direct and support treatments provided by aides or assistants when needed
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
Design and educate patients on home exercise programs
Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff
Document patient care accurately in the EHR and/or written charts
Follow infection-control policies and maintain a safe clinical environment
Qualifications:
Active New York Physical Therapy license and registration
DPT or Physical Therapy degree required
Outpatient musculoskeletal or orthopedic experience preferred
Recent graduates and experienced Physical Therapists encouraged to apply
Strong communication and patient education skills
Comfortable documenting in an EHR system
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and clinical team members
Patient-centered approach and strong bedside manner
