Job Details
- Participant Evaluation: Screen and evaluate participants for rehabilitation needs according to APTA standards.
- Collaborative Care: Provide physical therapy treatments, including modality treatment, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training
- Documentation: Maintain thorough records of participant POCs and communicate with other services as needed.
- Direct Communication: Engage with staff, family members, and caregivers to ensure effective care and support.
- Physical Therapy Treatments: Provide a range of treatments including modality treatment, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a physical therapy-related field; completion of an APTA-accredited physical therapy program.
- Licensure: Valid CA Physical Therapist license in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum one year of physical therapy experience in a geriatric setting required; two years preferred.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to interpret various instructions, knowledge of occupational therapy and speech pathology, and proficiency in managing budgets and compiling reports.
- Bilingual: English & Spanish highly preferred
