Part-Time Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Primary Care

Are you an experienced Advanced Practice Provider excited by the idea of helping under-served communities while avoiding the challenges of dealing with insurance companies? If so, this could be a great opportunity for you!

We are seeking a part-time Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a busy primary care office in Leesburg, VA, treating patients aged 19 and older.

This role helps address those challenges by providing free primary and specialty care services, empowering patients to take greater control of their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct care to patients with a focus on wellness, acute illness treatment, and chronic disease management.
Advocate for patients by directing them to available clinic and community resources based on social determinants of health (SDOH).
Educate patients about their conditions, treatments, and potential outcomes, modifying treatment plans as needed while following Virginia’s standard of care and best practices.
Prescribe medications as allowed under the practice agreement.
Refer patients to specialists and specialty care services when necessary.
Collaborate with clinic staff, volunteers, and community agencies.
Maintain accurate electronic health records using Athena software in a timely manner.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives as directed by leadership.
Provide clinical education and oversight for clinical support staff.
Support the policies and mission set forth by the organization’s board of directors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner studies from an accredited institution with an active Virginia license, or a Certified Physician Assistant with an active Virginia license.
Prescriptive authority granted by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
At least 2 years of experience in a primary care setting.
Valid BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (English and Spanish).
