Responsibilities:
As a Physician Assistant in our Orthopedics department, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting surgeons in the operating room during orthopedic procedures.
2. Conducting patient evaluations, diagnosing orthopedic conditions, and developing and implementing treatment plans.
3. Providing pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and suture removal.
4. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and MRI scans.
5. Educating patients and their families about orthopedic conditions and treatment options.
6. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
7. Participating in continuous education and training sessions to stay updated on the latest advancements in orthopedics.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Physician Assistant- position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, with a focus on orthopedics.
2. Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
3. Current Physician Assistant license.
4. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
5. Proven experience assisting in orthopedic surgical procedures.
6. Proficiency in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and imaging.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable way.
8. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
