Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients under the supervision of a physician, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions.
2. Assisting physicians, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
3. Conducting physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and implementing therapeutic treatment plans.
4. Collaborating with the healthcare team to discuss, coordinate and implement patient care plans.
5. Educating patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and their current treatment plans.
6. Documenting patient information, writing prescriptions, and updating patient records as needed.
7. Responding to emergencies, providing critical care support, and stabilizing patients as needed.
8. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in pulmonary and critical care medicine to provide the best possible care for patients.
Qualifications
1. A valid and current Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, specifically within pulmonary and critical care medicine.
3. Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient management skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
7. Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to interpret patient data and health information.
8. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
9. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
