We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Physician Assistant that would be interested in learning Ophthalmology to join our dynamic medical team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is keen to make a significant impact on patient care and is interested in learning ophthalmology. Our ideal candidate is a Board Certified Physician Assistant possessing excellent communication skills, and demonstrating a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide primary healthcare services under the supervision of a physician, including but not limited to, conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, and prescribing medication.
2. Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
3. Educate and counsel patients on health conditions and treatments, promoting prevention and wellness.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide consistent and comprehensive care to patients.
5. Demonstrate a keen interest in learning ophthalmology, participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
7. Handle stress effectively, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Board Certified Physician Assistant.
2. Exceptional communication skills, particularly in patient education.
3. Ability to handle stress effectively and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
4. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
5. Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients, demonstrating excellent bedside manner.
6. Interest in learning ophthalmology and commitment to ongoing professional development.
7. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
8. Current, valid state license and DEA registration.
9. Current CPR or BLS certification.
10. Must be able to bill Medicare.
