Job Details
JOB SUMMARY
o Provide high quality, comprehensive out-patient primary medical care services to patients.
o Identify and categorize each patient's age-specific group of needs, such as those for female adolescents and adults.
o Responsible for compliance with requirements such as State/Federal regulations TJC, DSHS, HRSA and PCMH Compliance standards.
o Collaboratively work alongside the healthcare team for all procedures.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
o Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program and an Advanced Practice Program with certification as a Physician Assistant.
REQUIRED SKILLS & TRAINING
o Current unrestricted Texas License issued by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners to include Prescriptive Authority.
o CPR certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
o One year’s experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
o One year knowledge of basic principles of health promotion, prevention, and motivation.
