PICU Assistant Nurse Manager

What is the shift?

• We have a night shift (7pm-7am) available 3 12 hour shifts a week
• There is a rotating holiday on call requirement and minimal weekend shifts would be required

What are the responsibilities?

• Supervising about 18-20 direct reports, addressing performance improvements with staff, etc. Typically rotates 2 Admin shift + 1 Clinical Shift week 1 and 1 Admin shift + 2 clinical shifts week 2.
• Clinical shifts are usually as charge nurse but could be pulled into staffing and would need to do full PICU orientation to feel comfortable with nursing on the unit

• PICU Nurse Manager

What is the patient population?

• Critical care, acute care
• We do organ transplants and those patients come to PICU following surgery.
• We do ECMO, high level ICU Care
• On Another unit we mostly see neurology patients and have an inpatient rehab unit that patients can transition to when needed, very large unit with great leadership team!
