Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Permanent Mechanical Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in our commercial construction projects, focusing on HVAC, mechanical, piping, and plumbing construction. Your expertise will be vital in providing accurate cost estimations, which will directly impact the success of our projects. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Mechanical Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical, piping, construction projects.
2. Analyzing orthographic drawings and technical specifications to assess material, labor, and equipment requirements.
3. Using Onscreen Take-Off, Trimble Business Center, and other relevant software for preparing estimates.
4. Collaborating with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors to understand project requirements and resolve issues.
5. Reviewing and evaluating cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
6. Presenting estimates and conducting cost-benefit analyses for management's review.
7. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, materials, and methods to enhance the accuracy of estimates.
8. Participating in bid negotiations and assisting in the procurement of major equipment and subcontracts.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimation, with a focus on HVAC, mechanical, and/or piping construction.
2. Proven experience as an Estimator or Industrial Estimator.
3. Proficiency in Onscreen Take-Off, Trimble Business Center, or equivalent software.
4. Strong understanding of orthographic drawing and ability to interpret technical specifications.
5. Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
6. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
9. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
