Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for plaintiffs in civil litigation.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to formulate legal opinions and case strategies.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
- Negotiate settlements of civil disputes, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Manage and oversee paralegals and legal assistants.
- Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
- Engage in discovery processes, including the drafting of discovery responses and conducting depositions.
- Handle court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Current license to practice law in Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a plaintiff attorney, specifically in personal injury law.
- Strong experience in PI litigation and trial experience, including jury trials.
- Familiarity with Texas Procedure and Texas Civil Procedure.
- Proficient in drafting and responding to discovery responses and conducting depositions.
- Proven experience in Motions Practice.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
- Experience in court hearings and mediations.
- Strong case management and legal writing skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Excellent research skills, with a focus on legal research.
- Knowledge of litigation, negotiation, and legal compliance.
- Experience in court proceedings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
