Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Plaintiffs Personal Injury Attorney to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in personal injury law and be barred in DC, MD, or VA. The attorney will handle a caseload of personal injury claims, representing clients who have suffered harm due to negligence or intentional misconduct.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Representation: Represent clients in personal injury claims, including those involving automobile accidents, medical malpractice, slip and falls, and other injury-related matters.
  • Case Management: Manage all aspects of personal injury cases from initial client consultation through settlement or trial. This includes case preparation, discovery, motion practice, and negotiations.
  • Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Trial Preparation: Prepare cases for trial, including developing case strategies, organizing evidence, and working with expert witnesses.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed about case progress and provide legal advice and guidance.
  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in court appearances, including hearings and trials.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law with a proven track record of successful case outcomes.
  • Bar Admission: Must be admitted to practice law in DC, MD, or VA. Multiple state admissions are a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with case management software and legal research tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
