Responsibilities:
- Represent clients who have suffered personal injuries in legal proceedings.
- Conduct investigations to determine liability, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and consulting with experts.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies to secure the best possible outcome for our clients.
- Advocate for clients in court, presenting evidence and arguments in a persuasive and effective manner.
- Collaborate with other members of our legal team to develop strategies and tactics for each case.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in personal injury law and apply this knowledge to your work.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on plaintiff's representation.
- Admission to the state bar, with a clean disciplinary record.
- Proven track record of successful litigation, including trials, motions, and settlement negotiations.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to explain legal concepts and strategies to clients and other stakeholders.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and to work independently, while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
