We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Accountant to join our well-established company. This role is an integral part of our finance team, providing financial support and analysis to our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant accounting, including cost accounting, inventory reconciliation, and variance analysis. Responsibilities:

1. Perform month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
2. Conduct regular inventory analysis and manage the physical inventory count process.
3. Assist with budget preparation and manage cost accounting tasks.
4. Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in the company's ERP system.
5. Collaborate with plant management to optimize inventory and cost controls.
6. Prepare detailed financial reports for management, highlighting key business metrics and potential issues.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
8. Participate in the development of annual operating budgets and periodic forecasting.
9. Support internal and external audits as required.
10. Work closely with other departments to understand and manage costs and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing accounting role.
4. Proficiency in General Ledger management and other accounting software.
5. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures, including standard cost, bill of materials, and labor and overhead rate calculations.
6. Solid experience in inventory management and reconciliation.
7. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
