The Plant Controller will be responsible for all financial aspects of the manufacturing plant, including cost accounting, inventory control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all plant accounting functions, including cost accounting, inventory control, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results for the plant.
- Develop and manage the plant's annual budget and forecasts, including the setup of cost control systems.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of inventory levels and production efficiency, identifying areas for potential cost reduction and process improvement.
- Collaborate with plant management and corporate finance team to formulate strategic financial plans, forecasts, and competitive analyses.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis function, driving financial understanding and accountability across the plant.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of ERP systems within the plant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Manufacturing, or related field is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a plant controller or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting, and financial analysis is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial colleagues.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive financial understanding and performance within a manufacturing plant.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred but not required.
