Job Details
- Execute financial and management accounting with a focus on delivering accurate and timely information monthly.
- Provide financial tools and job cost information to support plant management in profitability analysis and hours worked on jobs/capital projects.
- Develop and supervise cost management and reduction strategies in collaboration with plant management.
- Conduct variance analyses, identifying business and cost trends, and proposing recommendations for cost control and operational enhancements.
- Lead the preparation and submission of annual capital and operating budgets.
- Conduct project/job profitability analyses and reviews.
- Manage journal entries, purchase requisitions, and analyze invoice receipt/goods receipt.
- Oversee inventory control management, coordinating physical and cycle counts, resolving issues, and upholding procedural integrity.
- Lead the plant's financial and capital budgeting process.
- Establish and enforce effective internal accounting controls over plant assets, customer pricing, and SAP processes, aligning with corporate standards.
- Recommend and implement programs to enhance productivity, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Conduct Budget to Actual monthly reviews with each department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Proficient in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, and banking.
- Minimum six years of accounting experience, including manufacturing.
- Experience in Public Accounting auditing in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Leadership skills to guide, direct, and coach staff.
- Adaptability to new technologies, maintaining up-to-date technical skills in the assigned areas.
