Job Details
he Controller will oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, cost tracking, and financial analysis. This role will work closely with leadership to provide insights that drive smarter business decisions. We're looking for someone with deep financial expertise, manufacturing experience, and a strong grasp of business operations—someone who can be both in the numbers and at the table when big decisions are made.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and banking.
Develop and maintain standard costing systems and job costing models to support custom manufacturing workflows.
Analyze production costs, inventory, and margins to drive pricing strategies and operational improvements.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare internal financial statements, KPIs, cash flow forecasts, and management reports for leadership.
Partner with operations to align financial strategies with production planning and capacity management.
Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Coordinate with external CPA firm for tax filings and financial audits.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
Drive process improvements and implement financial systems/tools that improve reporting and visibility.
Qualifications
CPA required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA a plus.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or a product-based business.
Proven experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and job costing.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate financial insights into operational actions.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Comfortable in a hands-on role within a fast-paced, growing business.
