We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller to join our fast-paced finance team. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to provide financial leadership to our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the plant's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. This position involves supervision over general accounting, cost accounting, budgetary controls, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations of the plant including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the plant management team; administer and review all financial plans and budgets.
  • Manage the cost accounting, inventory reconciliation, and cost management systems to provide accurate and timely financial data.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with plant management to develop and implement strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of SOPs for financial management and cost accounting activities.
  • Utilize SAP FICO for financial planning, decision-making, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with corporate finance/accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial data, identify trends and developments, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of weekly and monthly financial statements.
  • Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
  • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certification is highly desired.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role in the finance industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and experience in inventory reconciliation.
  • Proficient in the use of SAP FICO.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
