We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Plant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a hands-on approach, who will oversee all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is proficient in budgeting and forecasting, month-end close, reconciliations, balance sheets, and cash flow projections. The successful candidate will play a vital role in improving our financial performance, ensuring compliance, and driving profitability.

Responsibilities

As a Plant Controller, your responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing all financial operations of the manufacturing plant, including the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and all financial reporting.
2. Managing the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
3. Conducting regular financial analysis, preparing detailed reports, and making recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
4. Performing balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow projections, identifying any financial risks or opportunities.
5. Collaborating with plant management and corporate finance teams to develop strategic financial plans.
6. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
7. Leading cost management initiatives, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost-reduction measures.
8. Providing financial guidance and support to plant management, assisting in strategic decision-making processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Plant Controller role should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or CPA certification is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and cost accounting.
4. Proficiency in month-end close, reconciliations, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
7. Proficiency in using financial software and spreadsheets.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
