The Plant Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our manufacturing plant. This position will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities specific to the plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
This is a hybrid role, so the individual will need to be within a commutable distance to go onsite 3 days/week.

Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Oversee all financial operations of the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Manage the preparation of all financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with the corporate finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures, including SOX controls.
- Oversee the general ledger and manage the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
- Partner with plant management to develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed financial models and forecasting tools.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA or CPA is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX controls, and general ledger management.
- Proficient in ERP systems with a strong ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Experience with inventory analysis and cost accounting.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of driving financial success in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
